Story
Although totally unfit, we have nevertheless signed up to take part in a gruelling trek across the Sahara in January 2012 to raise money for the fantastic charity, Norwood (www.norwood.org.uk/).
The trek will span approximately 80 kilometers of the Sahara desert, under stifling temperatures during the day and below zero temperatures at night. As if this wasn't enough, to ensure we are completely out of our comfort zones (and out of breath), we shall be camping in the desert with just the help of a tent, a torch and mosquito repellant.
Our trek is in support of Norwood's Hope Centre (www.hope-centre-search.org.uk/) which provides services for children and young people (aged 3-19) with a wide range of learning disabilities and educational needs.
JustGiving will send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
So please dig deep and donate as much as you can for this wonderful cause. (Your money will also help spur us on making the transition from from walking 80 steps to the nearest tube station to 80 kilometers across the desert!)
We would really appreciate your support. Thank you so much in advance for your generous donations (no pressure!)
Marc & Sophie
