In October this year I will be going to Uganda for 10 weeks. My mission is to support local businesses to develop strategies to enhance productivity with the ultimate aim on achieving sustainable growth, economic development and to reduce poverty. This opportunity has been made possible by the charity 'Challenges worldwide'

Through such a scheme, Challenges worldwide volunteers, working alongside their local counterparts, have helped to develop sustainable local enterprises with positive long term impact on income generation and alleviation of poverty within the communities. Banana wine production and bio-mass for clean energy are examples of businesses which have benefited from improved marketing and financial operation practices.

I am raising funds to help me realise my intended aims and also to create awareness about Challenges Worldwide's contribution to positive social change in the developing world
