Mountain Marathon · 2 July 2011
A memorial fund has been established at the University of Sheffield in memory of Dr Ian Noble, who tragically lost his life in a traffic accident in October 2010. The fund will help medical students to take part in additional research during their undergraduate training, who would otherwise be unable to do so due to financial constraints.
This was of particular interest to Ian who gained an academic Foundation post in London in part due to his BMedSci, and who was a committed medical politician, chairing the BMA Medical Students Committee for a year during his undergraduate training.
We are competing in a mountain marathon in the Lake District in July. The race takes two days, covering around 45km and taking in a number of peaks. Competitors are required to carry food and camping equipment and to navigate to fixed points along the way.
Please sponsor us to support this fund which has been inspired by a great friend who was a talented young doctor full of ambition and potential.
Many thanks for your help.
