Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Milly, who is 8, has a brain tumour, which has sadly recurred. The family has been told that there is an option of surgery that may give them some more time together, but they have been advised that surgery could be very risky – involving Milly in perhaps experiencing loss of function and possible serious complications.
Milly was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2007 when she was four years old. After undergoing surgery in Oxford she then went on to have an intensive course of chemotherapy in Northampton. She is the bravest, sunniest little girl you could ever wish to meet.
Rays of Sunshine arranged two special days in London for Milly, her mum Alex, dad Sam and 2 year old brother Max. The family were treated to a VIP tour of the city including a ride on the London Eye, and visits to Madame Tussauds and the London Aquarium. The following morning Milly arrived at Hamley’s half an hour before the store opened to officially open and shop in private. The climax of her wish followed when she was driven in a to a secret location in London to watch her idols rehearse for their forthcoming tour. Milly was treated to an exclusive performance of two songs followed by plenty of time for hugs and autographs.
This is why i am raising money for 'Rays of Sunshine' by walking 100 miles - 50 miles River Thames - 50 miles Oxford Canal - covering 25 miles per day - i will be carrying all kit needed for the challenge and camping out over night - If anyone wants to buy me a pint... i will finish at Middlemore Farm pub , Daventry on the 26th May!!
