Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm setting out to complete the Great North Run this year inspired by BASIC - the Brain and Spinal Injuries Centre Charity.

These folk did wonders for Andy, my great college mate and brother-in-law to recover from surgury to remove a tumor from his spine. In return Andy has been to great lengths (including 4 marathons this year - in a wheelchair) to help the continue their their work - so how could I not do my bit when he offered me the chance of a place in this run on behalf of BASIC.

I've only once - some years ago covered this distance - completing the Leeds Half in a bit under two hours and would love to do the same again and this time for a great cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now  - and look out for me in the crowds on Sunday...
