Story

Dear neighbours, friends and family,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to go dry in January to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease, to support sufferers of Motor Neurone disease and aid research into this difficult condition which has touched some close friends of mine and many other people across the world.

For me this is a big challenge as I virtually never go a day without alcohol. I love drinking wine while I’m cooking, when I am eating, watching television or chatting to friends. The last time I went alcohol free was when I had a bout of the shingles (for only a week, 11 months ago!). I will also be skiing in France during January so this makes the challenge even harder with lots socialising and after skiing drinks taking place!

So I would welcome your support during January. You may also wish to join me in this challenge. Any money raised during this famine will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease association.
