The Margaret Kerr Unit is an in patient specialist palliative care unit at the Borders General Hospital in Melrose.

The unit opened to patients on January 7th 2013 after a fundraising project raised £4.1 million to build and equip this much needed facility. More than £1 million of this sum was generated by a public fundraising appeal in less than 16 months!

NHS Borders funds the day to day running of The Margaret Kerr Unit however your donations pay for all the 'extras' that enhance the environment, and enable us to ensure that the unit is the best place that it can possibly be.
