After a 8 months battle with her illness Margaret sadly but peacefully passed away early hours on Sunday Morning 30th July 2017.

Over the course of her illness she was admitted to the general hospital a couple of times, and at times some would say Margaret having been a former matron was a little bit of an awkward patient,   with regard to her not quite receiving the standard of Nursing that she herself would have given and have been expected to have given in her nursing and care of the elderly career. there was one instant when she actually told the attending young Doctor newly  qualified

 to go back to medical school and come back when more qualified as he told her how to handle her medication, after she had been controlling it herself for the last 46 years (woops).

This is all leading up to Margaret's last days in the Coventry Myton Hospice. She was admitted for a rest bite period of 14 days,  on our visits she only had the up most praise for all the staff, nurses, doctors and services the hospice were offering, even to a point where she said you want for nothing and nothing is too much trouble. 

My Dad (Gordon) my wife Debbie and I, would like to thank all at the Myton Hospice for the care and love given to Margaret in her final days, you all do an exceptional job and at times a very hard one at that, your professionalism and commitment to your duties are unmatched. I sincerely hope you will all be able to offer your services to others in need just like my Mother for many years to come.
