Following a very generous birthday present last year from my cousins (people that apparently love me but wanted to see me fall out of a plane!!) of a skydive I was given a thirst for thrills and adventure and so I'm embarking on a 7 day trek to climb Kilimanjaro to raise money for the humanitarian relief work of the Apostolic Christian Church on 28 August 2011. Eighty percent of the money I will be raising will be going directly to an orphanage in Uganda and a community clinic in LaboLabo Village in Ghana, built using money raised by the church.   

The remaining twenty percent will be going to the Edmonton Eagles Amateur Boxing Club, also set up by the church, to not only help children in the community to take an interest in their health and fitness but also to give them positive role models, such as the head coach, Archbishop Evangelou and the other dedicated and caring coaches, also working at the club, often voluntarily.

I will be funding the trip totally myself and promise that none of the money raised will be going towards Jimmy Choo walking boots ;-) it'll be going directly to the causes supported by the charity.
