Our fantastic mummy Maria Mercer passed away on 21st March 2018 after bravely fighting a nine week battle with bowel cancer, she died at the very young age of 51, in the final weeks of her life she received unbelievable care and compassion from all the staff at the Belfast Cancer Centre.

All who knew Maria will remember her as being the life and soul of a party with a wicked sense of humour, she was also a very caring and loving person.

Maria fundraised for cancer care on a regular basis and in her memory her family and friends will all be doing the marathon 8 mile walk on Monday 7th May 2018. We can testify at first hand that any donations made to The Friends of the Cancer Centre will be used wisely and will be of great benefit to the many families who use this centre.
