The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Hello everyone!

First of all thank you for entering my justgiving page! I am sure you can't get confused with any other justgiving pages due to my long winded name.

Well as I explained in my e-mail I will be participating in the 16th Langport Triathlon, on Sunday 20th September 2009 and my target is to raise £500 for charity. To achieve this I will be swimming, cycling and running, and let's not forget all the extra running whilst changing between activities (proper term called transition time)!

The Triathlon challenge consists of

·                     400m swim (16 lengths in a 25m pool)

·                     22.5km cycle (hilly in many areas - equivalent to Bristol to Easton-in-Gordano and back)

·                     5km run (mainly cross country)

The charity I am sponsoring is called The Prince's Trust.

So what does The Prince's Trust do? The trust give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation. The Trust works with 14 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. Most importantly the trust helps change young lives!

If you want to support this important and amazing charity, then don't be shy and please sponsor me!

This is my first triathlon challenge and weirdly enough I'm really looking forward to participating in it! Trust me this won't be my last triathlon, as my ultimate challenge is to do a half iron man before I'm 30, which means I have got about 2 years to train for.

Thanks again for you all your help!

P.S. - I know it is not a great picture, but I promise to add one of me training with no make up or jewellery and bright red faced!
