Marian's Half Marathon at 70!

Great North Run 2020 Reimagined · 13 September 2020 ·
To celebrate turning 70 in 2020, I've decided to run my first half marathon to prove that you can achieve anything at any time of life. Starting from couch to 5k, I've been training hard and improving gradually to where I am today.
I'll be running on Sunday 13th September on a route around Wrexham. The run is part of the virtual Great North Run, which means I must start by 10am and my time will be officially logged.
During my 70th year, I'd like to try and raise some money for a great cause that's close to my heart. If you'd like to sponsor my run, I'd be really grateful for any donation.
The Brick School Children, Nepal - Having been a trustee for over 10 years, I've seen first hand the positive outcome that fundraising for this charity has had on children that otherwise would have no access to education.
Without fundraising to build schools and fund teachers and educational materials, children of migrant families that are employed in the brick making factories, would have no respite and would continue to work from dawn until dusk from as young an age as three years old.
