Yorkshire 3 Peaks madness
Fundraising for MSI Reproductive Choices
Story
On 14th October I shall be pushing myself to my physical and mental limit by taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge, walking 24 miles and climbing 3 mountains, in under 12 hours. It's going to be tough, and it's going to hurt. I haven’t walked up anything remotely hill-like in several years, I'm hopeless at orienteering, I don’t do anything sporty at speed, and living in Essex, 99% of my training walks have been completely flat!
Still, with such an excellent ARU team - Clare, Wendy, Sally and I, what can go wrong? We have narrowed it down to one hip flask each... :-)
I would like to fundraise for Marie Stopes International, as I know that walking for a charity will keep me determined to finish the challenge. The charity supports millions of women worldwide who are trapped in a cycle of extreme poverty and poor health because they’re unable to choose when or whether to have children. If you are able to sponsor me just £6 to support a woman for one year, you would provide a great help to a great charity.
