As many if you know I will be competing in my first IRONMAN distance (gulp) triathlon in less than 3 weeks - ahhhhhhhhh!
As it's sooooo big (I mean this is bigger than big it's the BIGGEST for the Woo ever!) I've decided what better way to raise some money for a charity. My charity of choice is Crohns and Colitis UK. 12 years ago we nearly lost my darling sis to this nasty disease. Although the first we knew of it was when she was rushed into hospital where she had major emergency surgery she had been suffering in silence with it for years.
Now IRON-SIS never whinges, moans or complains (unlike me before or after practically every training session!) but there is still no cure for Crohns and she still suffers everyday as do over 250,000 people in the UK. So I'd be so grateful if you could help to support this cause. Whether it's £5, £10, the cost of a bottle of vino we might have consumed together had I not been 'beasting' myself in training for the last 6 months ;-) all would be most appreciated and help the charity continue to support people with the disease and raise awareness of it.
My darling sis - she's the real ironwoman of this family and my inspiration.
Thanks so much for your support my lovelies.
Hopefully soon to be IRON-WOO
