The Big Salute supports some great causes, and is at the heart of a lot of what our Forces Radio BFBS teams do in their communities overseas and in the UK. Each year we support some really great projects that might otherwise have gone 'under the radar' and last year we helped out with more than £100,000.

We're hoping to 'do our bit' in 2019 as well, showing solidarity and more importantly (and with your help) swelling those coffers!

This will be my second bite at the Royal Parks Half and this time I'm determined to eat fewer jelly babies and cry less on the way round! Hopefully I'll finish in a time more befitting someone with two reasonably well-functioning legs and less that of a sloth-like -slug!
