The work of Alice’s Escapes - Continuing the hopes and dreams of seventeen-year-old Alice Pyne, Alice's Escapes provides complimentary holidays for families with terminally-ill and seriously-ill children - a time to make precious memories and simply enjoy being together. We also offer bereavement breaks for families who have sadly lost a child.

Why I’m running for Alice’s Escapes After meeting Milly, Alice’s sister, through work I was in awe of Alice’s story. I’m truly inspired by her decision to help others and leave such an amazing legacy. I want to help her family to continue running this amazing charity and grow it further.

The Great North Run - the Great North Run is a half marathon. The 21km (13miles) race starts in newcastle and ends in South Shields. 

I’m only a casual runner, running 4K at most normally so this is a huge feat for me and something I want to challenge myself to in order to bring awareness and donations to the well worthy charity, Alice’s Escapes.
