We fund life saving medical research to beat the world's biggest killers.

Story

Each year I try to embark on something challenging / outside of my comfort zone to raise money for charity.

This year, on 17 April to be exact I will be taking part in the Brighton Marathon in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

I have never done a marathon before and in preparation have spent the last few months following a strict 16-week training plan including setting off for long distance runs at 5am in the dark, wet winter, which has proven rather 'testing' at times.

Why the British Heart Foundation?

I never knew my two Grandad's as both passed away before I was born due to coronary heart disease and my Grandma more recently from the same condition.

In fact most of us will either have been directly affected by this condition or know someone who has so it is as important as ever to do what we can to help win the fight against it.

Coronary heart disease is the UK's number one killer.

I am hoping to raise £1000 in support of the British Heart Foundation as it is such a great cause and I believe with your help I can do it.
