hope your all well and enjoying the lovely British summer at the mo !
many of you have been kind enough to sponsor me in previous 10 mile sunrise walks carrying 5 stone of sand, being tied to 20 others and dressed as rolf harris ( all on seperate occasions.... ) and Shooting down eagle tower for the abseil, In support of the home grown national charity that touches the lives of many children and families in Cheltenham and beyond. Winston's wish :)
Next Friday I will be rising early to make the journey to the lake district to don a lovely figure hugging wetsuit ....!!! To take the plunge at 5:00pm and enter the british gas great north swim, non stop over 2 miles in the open water of lake windemere!
I certainly won't be looking to be scouted in to the Olympic swimming team!!! but have been swimming in the lido 3 times a week since April .... And with some much appreciated help from yourselves i would love to be able to carry out this one knowing that we are able to help support the continued tireless support that Winston's wish offers berieved children :)
I haven't really shouted about this much as I know many people are continually doing some great events and asking for sponsorship, so any donation you may be able to make would be much appreciated and will hugely spur me on with every stroke knowing you are behind me.
There are 9 of us doing it together some of whom have not been swimming long never mind rcing in open watet !!, including my brother who at 17 is going to accompany his dad and hit the one mile event on the saturday.
