It's that time of year again.  Decembeard.  Movember's hairier little brother.  Real Men Grow Beards is the slogan, and I will do my best to get my itchy stubble to resemble a manly growth.  It may be patchy.  It may be ginger in places.  But it is all for the great cause that is Beating Bowel Cancer.

This charity, which I have the honour to be Chief Executive off, needs your help to help more people. The money raised from this year's campaign will help support those facing bowel cancer through our wonderful nurses, our first class information booklets and our hugely popular website.  Also, raising awareness of bowel cancer, even by growing a beard and looking scruffy for a month will help save lives - because we don't talk enough about the UK's second biggest cancer killer.

So, go on.  Support me.  Please.  And, why not grow one yourself?
