We provide emotional wellbeing support to improve young people's mental health

Story

In October 2016, my 13 year old son, Joshua was referred to Bromley Y, a charity that provides free therapeutic and emotional support to young people, in the Bromley area, between the ages of 0-18 years.  At the time Josh was having real difficulties coping with school life and was finding the transition from going to a small village primary school to a much larger senior school really hard.  His anxiety about going to school was becoming an increasing problem and was putting a huge strain not just on him but also the rest of the family, especially my wife.   However, things begun to turn for the better when Josh was referred to Bromley Y.  The emotional support that they have given Josh through one to one counselling sessions and group therapy has been so beneficial to him.  Josh has said being able to discuss  his fears and anxieties with his therapist and other young people "like him" made him feel better, even normal.  Now those difficult mornings full of anxiety and worry, have been replaced with a far more positive and confident outlook.  There are even days when he looks forward to going to school!

So I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Bromley Y and running another marathon gives me the opportunity to raise some funds for a great cause.

Please consider sponsoring me, any amount will be really appreciated.

Thank You

Mark
