Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You may remember I completed the Namib Desert Challenge in March this year reaching my target of £8000 and I have decided again to raise funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance but this time I am going from 40 degrees in the Desert to minus 40 degrees in the Arctic Circle. I have entered the 6633 Extreme ultra marathon which will take place on 22 March 2013.
6633 is the latitude in degrees and minutes of the Arctic Circle, and that is precisely where this awesome challenge will take anyone mad enough to enter. It is known as the toughest foot race in the World and where I will undoubtedly experience all the delights the Arctic has to throw at me.
The 6633 ultra is an annual event over a distance of either 120 miles or 350 miles where competitors will race non stop on foot and be predominately self sufficient for the entire time. Only 6 people have ever finished this 350 mile extreme challenge battling the sub zero conditions, long distances, polar bears and wolves but I am determined to be number seven.
NeviSport at Kingsley Village are again sponsoring me in my epic journey and providing essential technical gear.
