Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
Some of you may know we are walking the "St Cuthbert Way” with a number of our friends to help raise money for a local charity.
The charity we are raising money for is Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice & Support for Parents (CCLASP). Over the last 11 years, due to our annual walk and other fundraising activities throughout the year, the group has now with your help raised over £110k for this amazing charity.
One of the group lost his step-son at 11 years old to leukaemia and since then we’ve had a real affinity with CCLASP having seen first hand the tremendous work they do for families who have been in this unfortunate position.
Every single penny raised really makes a difference and we really appreciate your support.
"CCLASP provide specialist and tailored support to families across Scotland affected by childhood cancer or leukaemia and help to make children's' special wishes come true. Normal life stops when you receive the devastating news that your child has cancer and we try to limit the consequences this can have financially, emotionally, and practically. Our job? To try and raise smiles when times are difficult and arrange the care and support that is crucial, whether it’s free bespoke transport to hospital appointments, or just somebody to talk to.
