The aims of the Bloom Appeal are: 1. Support the care and well-being of patients with blood cancers 2. Fund and invest in scientific research into treating and curing leukaemias, lymphomas and other blood cancers 3. Make a difference for blood cancer patients in the Merseyside and surrounding areas.

Story

I love to run, a fit 64 year old, but because of Covid this is my first public race in three years. I've been raising funds for the Bloom Appeal through sponsored runs for a while now - sadly made more relevant to me since my uncle and sister developed myeloma. My wife Linda organises the Liverpool Haematology Support Group, a real lifeline for patients, families, friends,  carers (and me) coping with blood cancers. The Bloom Appeal is the Group's chosen charity. Please sponsor me, Emily, Arvind and any other Bloom Appeal runners, to complete the 10k (6.8 mile) course around Sefton Park, Liverpool and raise funds for much needed education, research and support for patients.

Thank you!

Mark
