Myotonic Dystrophy has had a huge negative impact on my family over the last several years. 

My dad passed away recently leaving behind a wife, son and daughter and will be sadly missed by all who new him throughout his life. 

I don't believe people are truly aware of the condition and the implications it has to those diagnosed and their family members, the support group helped and provided us with information that we needed to understand the condition. 

Our aim is to raise a small amount of money for them as a way to firstly thank them for their support but also helping them to continue to provide the excellent necessary support people need and raise awareness of the condition in the process.
