Remembering David Cooke (Cookie)

Jane's Family is raising money for Spaniel Aid UK
In memory of David (Cookie) Cooke
We are a leading spaniel rescue and rehoming charity which provides safe foster placements in which our dogs can be assessed, get veterinary care, and be placed for adoption in loving permanent homes, following a rigorous matching process. We are entirely self-funded and run by volunteers.

Story

On 12th September 2020, Cookie tragically passed away, he was 41 years old.

He grew up in Lilleshall Shropshire and spent his childhood beating or shooting with his Springer Spaniel Bracken by his side.

He had many funny stories of Bracken getting lost, having to retrieve him from country roads or smelly ponds. Cassie his other springer was also fond of getting into her own mischief.

In 2011 Digger was born and became his new pup. (See photo) Digger saved his life on more than one occasion and gave him a reason to live. On 12th September he lost his battle with anxiety and depression and Digger is at home with his mum, but really misses his dad.

Cookie spent many an hour scanning social media for stories and pictures of spaniels and their adventures. He loved Springers and made a donation to Spaniel Aid UK every month.

If you knew Cookie or find affinity with his story, please make a donation, no matter how small to Spaniel Aid UK

Thanks

Digger and his humum x
