Story

This year we have decided to attempt the Brighton marathon to raise funds for a local charity that is close to all of our hearts. Those who know me personally will know what a challenge this will be (both physically and mentally!) so Paul, Hayden, Sean, Nick and I would appreciate any donation or offer of support to enable us to complete the marathon and raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity the Knights Foundation.

The Knights Foundation provide support and equipment to disabled children, deprived children, seriously ill children and their families. It is also their aim to know more about these children and young carers and what we can provide to support them in their role. This support is also offered to those who may be restricted from having a good or happy life.

The ultimate aim was always to have an accessible and luxurious property along the South coast, which is amenable for those with restricted abilities, to enjoy stress free family holidays and have the use of a facility, free of charge, to allow them to do this. This dream was made reality in September 2019 when they purchased The Knights Foundation Lodge.

Their supporters – staff, trustees, patrons, donators and volunteers are passionate about making differences in lives and are keen to understand more on how they can help others who need their support and identify resources who can also help with everyday living for these people.

About the charity

The Anthony Knights Foundation Trust offer support to carers and families managing disabilities throughout their everyday life. These are gifts which in some cases allow them to maintain a certain level of independence. We also support deprived children through gifts and days out experiences.
