I volunteer teaching Kenyan students A level Chemistry on-line for an old mate - Iestyn Thomas- and his charity ChallengeAid. This creates "Schools of Hope" for aspirational young slum dwellers in East Africa who often cannot attend school during the day due to family or work demands. The photo? It's real! Most people reading this cannot imagine the poverty, that means a kid tries to complete homework by streetlight. With a group of experienced teachers we are working hard, getting these students a chance to get to university, so they can escape grinding poverty forever. Please help! (And wish me luck in Edinburgh!!)
