People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments. Research is the only way to turn this hope into reality. Combining patient stories and scientific expertise, we fund projects that have a real impact, reducing side-effects, cutting treatment costs and ultimately improving outcomes.

Story

The late great Bob Monkhouse met the news of his cancer diagnosis with typical deadpan style. "A man in a white coat stuck his finger up my bum and told me I had terminal prostate cancer," he said. "I'm not being funny, doc," he replied, "but would you mind sticking another finger up, I'd like a second opinion!" Of course, prostate cancer is no laughing matter for those affected by it, as I know from personal experience. It's now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK and 11,500 men die from the disease every year. Prostate Cancer Research are dedicated to creating brand new prostate cancer treatments so that we can live in a world free from the impact of this disease.

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page! My wife, Juliet and I, our son Jack and friends Ben Morton and Rachel Paterson, will be climbing into the saddle for the London to Brighton race this summer to do our bit to raise awareness and funds for the PCR team. Anything you can give to help support their research would be hugely appreciated. Much love to all!
