Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I had decided to do a SkyDive in Dubai for my 30th birthday in November anyway but then decided to combine it with a good cause.
The trip is fully paid for so all money raised will be going to Cancer Research.
The reason I decided to combine it with raising money is that our mom was diagnosed last year with re-occurrence Breast Cancer.
Her first diagnosis was in 2003 at the age of 39 stage 3 Breast Cancer, after an operation it was treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy and 7 years of further drugs and has been clear ever since.
Then in October last year at the age of 52 we found out it had come back. No lumps this time, just symptoms that were far from thinking it could even be cancer let alone re-occurrence Breast Cancer. She is now undergoing chemotherapy again.
Early diagnosis is crutial and can save lives. Research is vital to find the cure. Many will say ‘ well what about all the money already raised and the cure still isn’t found ‘ Well if the money raised so far had not been, then research would not of got us to where we are today, we all need to be thankful for that and still push to raise more to eventually find the cure and also EDUCATE.
