BUPA Great North Run 2010 · 19 September 2010 ·
I know...I know...I said last year I was only going to run in the Great North Run once to 'celebrate' my 40th, but the midlife crisis continues! After last year's disappointing 2 hours 20 minutes (and 14 seconds!), I have been training hard all year to improve my time by at least 15 seconds (ably assisted by Simon!).
So on September 19th I will be pounding the streets of Newcastle, Gateshead and South Shields once again. Last year I was able to raise over £700 for Leonard Cheshire Disability and I am proud to run for them again in 2010.
Leonard Cheshire Disability exists to change attitudes to disability and to serve disabled people around the world. Their principal activity in the U.K. is the provision of services in support of disabled people int he widest context. These services include care homes, supported living, domiciliarysupport, day services, resource centres, rehabilitation, respite care, personal support and training and assistance for those looking for work.
So, if you are able to, please dig deep once again to sponsor me.
Thanks everyone!
Mark (now aged 41 and a half)
