Since Mark has decided that any wedding gifts should go to charity, I feel its only fair that I get to choose the cause 😀
For those of you that know me, you know that women in need are close to my heart. The problems involved in forced marriage and the violence and abuse that can follow, are very real issues in the UK which maybe don't get the awareness they deserve.
These are people not just dealing with one abuser and able to call on the help of those close to them, but whole families and communities. They face being ostracised and cast out on their own with no support.
While we didn't expect presents (you being with us on our special day is gift enough), I would ask that, if you were thinking of getting us something, don't use this as an excuse not to give (Louis!). We could make a real difference to someone's life that has been shattered.
Please take a few minutes to read Karma Nirvana's website.
Thank you for your support, we are so looking forward to seeing you on the 19th Aug
