Story
Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
Some of you may be surprised to learn that I am now working in Namibia! I am on a Welsh Assembly Government sponsored International Learning Opportunity (ILO). This is in partnership with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO).
I am based in Windhoek, the capital, for the next 10 weeks and return to the UK towards the end of March 2010.
I'll be keeping an online journal so please drop by and read my diary entries at

Whilst in Namibia I wil be working with an EC Funded project, under the partnership with Namibia Assoociation Support Otganisations (NACSO). My project supports enterprises with conservancies and community groups. VSO is becoming very successful in establishing the infrastructures necessary to improve community-owned enterprises at grassroots level and now I'm going to play my part in its future success.
I would be delighted and thrilled if you could play a part too. I've been massively encouraged by the support I have been given by friends and colleagues to date in getting me to this point and now I'm going to ask you to help me by helping VSO a little further, It would be magnificent if you felt able to make a donation to VSO however small to help them continue their Global placements of willing and skilled volunteers.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please feel free to donate now. In return you can follow my online diary! It's in the form of a weblog I will keep up to date with news of my activities as and when I can get to an internet cafe!
Don't forget, you can read my blog at http://marlizeinnamibia-vso.blogspot.com
Thanks!!! See you all back in the UK in April 2010.
