On August 10th Marshall Building Contractors employee's are doing the The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

A 25 mile circular challenge walk, the Three Peaks of Yorkshire starts and finishes at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) - in that order. The aim of this walking challenge in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales is to climb the three peaks, some 25 miles, in 12 hours or less……..

Although walkers will often not be too far from civilisation, it is still a very demanding long walk, and is not a waymarked route. Map and compass skills may be required, especially when navigating over the Moss, and on the summits if visibility is poor. The total climb is some 5,200 feet, and the footpaths can be very wet and boggy in some places, rugged and rocky in others. Some sections are on fast country roads.

So please dig deep and donate now.
