Welcome to my fundraising page!

I am currently on a gap year, after securing a place to study medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. I have one year to do something worthwhile with my time and help make a difference, no matter how small. I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer overseas with Restless Development on an ICS placement. I am going to Nepal on the 26th of February!

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long-term community development. 

Most volunteering programmes require a lot of money to pay for flights, accommodation, health insurance, and the various other things. My placement is already secured, the £800 that I aim to fundraise will go back to ICS and one of their charities – Restless Development - and the people they support, to enable them to run another year of volunteering placements to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

I’ll be doing cake sales and bucket collections amongst other things and you can keep track of how I get on here on my JustGiving page. 

Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!
