Optometry Giving Sight is a global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error – simply the need for an eye exam and a pair of glasses.

Story

I wanted to take on a personal challenge which seemed a little bit different. Previously the longest ride I have managed in a day is 215km (about 135 miles), but Sustrans cycle route 70 round the whole of Cheshire comfortably tops this at 282km (176 miles) and I found myself thinking "could I do this in a day?" So I will give it a go, hopefully raising some much needed funding for Optometry for Sight along the way. I know it's short notice but I hope to do this ride in the next week or so before the days get too short. As for training, probably a bit late for that, but that makes it all the more of a challenge. I will probably need more cake! Your generosity can help change people's lives through this charity, so please consider sponsoring me in this challenge.
