Kilimanjaro Climb with WCB · 10 March 2019

We’re here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

Story

I am attempting to summit Mount Kilimanjaro as part of a team of 10 from the Worshipful Company of Butchers. I feel slightly crazy for volunteering to be part of ‘Team Kili’, but driven by the fact we’re all raising a target of £10,000 each. Since joining the WCB in 2003, we’ve raised significant amounts for worthy charities around the country through numerous events. The Cure Parkinson’s Trust is our chosen charity for this year as this terrible disease has affected so many friends and families. Being able to raise awareness by undertaking such a huge challenge is personally fulfilling and humbling. I will be donating the equivalent of 50% towards my own target and any contributions above this will help the team reach our overall goal for this worthwhile cause. Each member of the team is paying their own trip expenses, so all money raised will go to the charity. I’d be honoured if you could support our efforts by donating today.
