Thank you again for making a donation to Marie Curie.
The trip is over. I cycled a total of 2,017 miles in 38 days, and it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life! The route from Bangkok took me down the east coast of Thailand to Surat Thani, then Koh Samui and on to Songkhla before crossing to the west coast and into Malaysia. Then Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka before arriving in Singapore. I was chased by wild dogs, bitten by giant ants and chased monkeys through the jungle. There were tremendous highs and many lows, and times when I was totally drained with the heat and humidity, but I wouldn't have missed any of it for the world. Would I do it again... I'll have to think about that!
Thanks again to M.Steel Cycles, Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic and Sustrans, and special thanks to Chris Brae at Cannasia Cycles Singapore for getting my bike home.
