The Great Bakery Bike Ride, in aid of the Greggs Foundation and BBC Children in Need Appeal

Between June 17 and June 27 2010, the Greggs operating board is taking on a mammoth challenge, to cycle between each of the Greggs bakeries, a gruelling total of 900 miles. Each member of the operating board will take part in at least one stage of the course to raise money for the Greggs Foundation Breakfast Club Scheme and BBC Children in Need Appeal.

It is nearly 10 years since I enjoyed any serious cycling. I am really looking forward to supporting Richard and his team on this exciting adventure and hope to be able to put in a good distance supporting them on the day. I am sure it will be tough and very challenging for all of us but we are doing it for a great cause and I hope we can raise a serious amount for the selected charities.
