Story
Mary, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Monday 25th
October 2010 at the age of 60 after a long fight against ovarian cancer.
Some of you will know that she was first diagnosed with Stage 4 (of 5) cancer in November 2001. At the time, she was told that she may not live past one year. However, she was determined to fight as long as possible, which she did, beating seven recurrences into remission (including a brain tumour) over the last nine years.
Sadly, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in August 2010. She passed away peacefully in hospital surrounded by her husband Sam, and children Suzanne and Shan.
Anyone who knew Mary knew that she devoted her life to others, and in keeping with this, she requested that anyone wishing to pay tribute to her memory make a donation to MacMillan Cancer Support (www.justgiving.com/MaryHu) or St. Gemma's Hospice, so that she was still able to help others after her death.
We thank you for taking the time to donate, and helping Mary's spirit to live on in this way.
