Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our beautiful brave mum sadly passed away on Saturday 26th September after a long fight with metastatic melanoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Mum was diagnosed with an ocular tumour in 2010 and had her left eye removed in November 2011. This procedure would have broken even the most stoic of people, but not our heroic mum who battled through and continued to live life to the full, climbing hills in the Lakes and navigating the busy streets of Wigan to meet her friends.

In 2016 we received the devastating news that the disease had returned and we were offered immunotherapy, one of the few available treatment options. The treatment came with significant risks, but just like before, Mum took the challenge on, suffering many of the common side effects and spent many weeks away from the family fighting to stay with us.

The family would like to extend our heart felt thanks to Dr Sacco and his team at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, whose tireless efforts and dedication have given us four more years of precious memories with our beautiful mum.
