Living in rural Perthshire raised my awareness of this fantastic charity . I have seen the helicopter at the golf club in Blairgowrie  attending to casualties on the ice and also on the A9 after a RTA . It truly is a “ life- saver” and as nobody knows when they may need them anywhere in Scotland, it surely is worth trying to run a marathon for. 

Feb 2019 sees me reach another significant birthday nd having run the marathon in 2009 I feel  I still have another 26.2 miles in me ,to give it a go again ! Please dig deep to support me - I ll do my level best to finish it ! My last time was 4:12:13 and with more time to train I hope to be in close proximity to this time regardless of the intervening decade !  I did say after the last one “ if I ever say I ll run another one then shoot me “ - but time blurs the memory ! 

In the meantime if you see me out on the roads around Blairgowrie then give me a hoot on your horn . It’s going to be a long winter but it will be worth it ! 

24/12  A little tricky running this morning with a third hard frost - but once  got going it was okay . Beautiful sunrise - that’s what makes it all ok
