Story
On Monday 4 January just after 4pm Mary suddenly took ill.
Very quickly we had a paramedic, ambulance, 2 ambulance cars, 2 fire engines and an air ambulance in attendance.
She was taken her to our local hospital in Bedford and a scan revealed Mary had a bleed on her brain.
Despite the corona issues, the doctor allowed my 3 children living locally in to see Mary before she was taken to Addenbrooke's neurology care team.
Sadly they were unable to help her and she passed away peacefully at 3.35pm on Tuesday.
We cannot thank the NHS, staff and our neighbours enough for
their amazing service, help and kindness shown to us and Mary.
Rather than flowers at Mary's funeral, we have chosen to raise funds for the Magpas air ambulance - a charitable service who do a fantastic job.
