I’m excited and looking forward to taking part in a personal cycling challenge, Sea 2 Sea, with a group of friends from Leicester Women's Velo Cycling Club.  This will be my first long distance cycle challenge of 136 miles over 5 days (29th Apr to 3rd May) and I thought why not raise money at the same time.   

I’ve chosen a local charity organisation, Charity Link, who help local vulnerable people & children in need.  For every £10 raised, Charity Link can obtain £50 worth of goods from charitable trusts.  My fundraising target is set at £500 (£100 for each day of the challenge) which will enable the charity to give £2,500 worth of essential items to people in need. That’s enough to purchase a fridge and cooker for 5 families in desperate need, or to purchase beds and bedding for 15 children currently sleeping on the floor or sharing beds.  I’d love to reach and even beat my target as the more money raised means more items can be provided by Charity Link.
