Story
My best friend Alfie was diagnosed with AML in 2015, after his bone marrow transplant at Christmas 2016, he now has the all clear! Alfie spent most of his time on the Teenage Cancer Trust ward at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham and I couldn't believe the facilities there for young people living with cancer and their families. It's a great charity and helped Alfie and his family through some tough times.
As most people know I am NOT the fittest person in the world so this challenge is mental!
Cancer kills more young people than any other illness in the UK. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity dedicated to providing expert care and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer’. They treat them as young people first, cancer patients second and everything they do aims to improve their quality of life and chances of survival. At the moment, for every young person Teenage Cancer Trust help, there's another they can't. Help us reach more young people with cancer by donating towards my Great North Run challenge.
