Story
We have been Ealing locals for about 3 years now...enjoying being part of a local and diverse community.
Every day, when we leave our home sweet home to go to the nursery/school with the girls, we cross the path of a homeless man.
He can be quite impressive for the girls being as a tall as I am and wrapped in layers of dark clothes. We often only see his eyes but we can guess a smile when they tell him "good morning" or "bonjour".
He is part of the "landscape" of our road and many will recognise this description.
I have always felt lucky for having a loving family and for being surrounded with great friends, colleagues and relatives. I just want to give to this man and to the many others who have not been as lucky as I have been a bit of comfort and warmth.
St Matthews, our local parish, supports this charity by sending volunteers for the night shifts. As I'm not always available for night shifts, this is my way of supporting this initiative on behalf of our church (https://www.stmatthewsealing.org).
