In 1996 Derek John George Bassi, a wonderful Father and Grandfather, succumbed to pancreatic cancer.

Last year Matt and I did our first ever run in London at the BUPA 10k. Neither of us are renowned runners and this was by far the furthest that either of us had ever run! We really enjoyed it, and decided to do it again this year, but this time with the aim of raising some money for a good cause.

We have therefore decided to run in Derek's memory, hoping that his inspiration will spur us on to beat last years time!!
