I've been "fortunate" enough to get a place in this years London Marathon (I really don't know what I was thinking when I applied) so I’m going to give it my all and try and make the finish line without the aid of paramedics. 

I'd like to raise a bit of cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care who provide free nursing care to patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by loved ones.

At 10 o'clock tonight, a Marie Curie nurse will begin his or her shift in a home, street or town near you.

 £20 will provide one hour of valuable nursing care for patients and their families. So any donation, great or small, will be a wonderful contribution to the care they provide and your support will mean the world to me.
