Home-Start UK is an incredible charity that has started life-changing initiatives to support families with young children going through challenging times. This year we've decided to push ourselves and join the 2021 London Marathon 😬🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️. We're really excited for the challenge, and it's a great excuse to support Home-Start.

Home-Start are currently supporting over 27,000 families and 56,000 children throughout the UK. Families struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement, and many other issues receive the support of a volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family's home supporting them in the ways they need.

While Home-Start are making incredible progress, the need for their work is acute and growing. In the UK right now:

•    6 million children live in severe poverty
•    93,000 children live in care
•    1 in 10 children aged between 5 and 16 have a mental health problem
•    2 million children are regular witnesses to severe forms of domestic violence
