Cancer’s something that’s affected me and my family, in the autumn of 2009 my grandad was diagnosed with bowel cancer and sadly passed away a couple months later. In 2015 my auntie was diagnosed with bowel cancer and is still receiving treatment to this day. After losing a friend recently to leukemia I decided that I need to do something. 

Cancer has affected each and every one of us in some way. I’ve always wanted to raise money for cancer and I’ve always wanted to challenge myself to learn another sport. So this combines both those things perfectly.
