On the 19th July 2015 i will compete in Ironman Switzerland in Zurich. My challenge is a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and a 42km run (a marathon!). I will push my mind, body and soul to the limit as i try to remove doubts from within of what i am capable of. In doing so, i also hope to help inspire others to believe that they too, with a goal, plan and determination, are able to achieve anything.My amazing Sister-in-law was on honeymoon in 2013 when she suffered a loss of sight. This was obviously incredibly distressing and although at first put down to a panic attack, she was later diagnosed as having;
Encephalitis- a debilitating inflammation of the brain.
The sight loss was temporary thankfully, but she has suffered two further relapses since. She has also had a healthy baby boy and is a wonderful Mum, but i can't imagine the trauma this uncertainty has on everyday life for her and my brother. I want to not only raise awareness for this illness but also funds so there can be the support available for those suffering and so that the virus can be tackled.

If you are able to donate it would be very much appreciated. Not only will it help me through the tough times on the day but the charity will receive a welcome boost to continue their great work.
